Just the most talented singer, songwriter and musician performing on the Internet today! Marié's video cover of' Rihanna's "Umbrella" has been viewed at a pace of 20,000 a day. Marié's original music (check music page) is totally radio friendly. Marié has just been signed to a Major Label (Hollywood Records) Marié will release New Digital EP called "Start Here" September 11 07. Songs will include "Umbrella" , "What I've done", "Stupid for You" and "Unfold". You will be able to purchase at the ITunes Store Marié has also performed on Star 98 Radio LA (To listen hit Forum button and enter forum). Marié's Full name is Marié Christina Digby Marié's heritage is Japanese Irish-American. Her mother is Japanese and her father is Irish-American Marié lives in Los Angeles and was born in NYC Marié grew up listening to: Portishead, Mazzystar, Radiohead, Bjork, Chopin, Poe, The Smashing Pumpkins, Elliott Smith, The Pushstars, the Cardigans and Jimmy Hendrix Marié loves traveling, people watching, Tim Burton, sleeping in, astronomy, lavender roses, the sound of leaves rustling, animals, Miyazaki Haro, halloween, Baz Lurhman, clouds. Marié loves a lot of things! Marié loves the mysterious ball of black and white fur that often makes cameos in her youtube videos (her dog Misty). Misty is an Australian Shepherd... Misty loves music. (Especially Marié's!!) Marié won the Pantene Pro-Voice songwriting contest in 2004 with her heart felt autobiographical song "Miss Invisible" (hear it on the Music page)
Short Bio:
Marié Started writing songs when she was about 15 years old. The inspiration to start writing began through tough years in junior high school where she was often made fun of and didn't have many friends. Marié never thought of herself as being particularly talented in music or writing but found a comfort and relief in composing songs. Marié went to college for a year and then took time off to pursue music full time. It was the hardest and best decision of her life. Marié also plays an awesome game of tennis!
