What type of wood works best for building outdoor furniture, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs?
Quite a number of woods are used for making out outdoor furniture.
There are : Alder, Braziillian Cherry, Cedar, Cypress, Mahogany, Pressure treated Pine and Shorea.

btw Teak is a tropical soft wood, excellent for indoor furnitures, but when exposed to inclement weather it will lose it's oil content and cracking may occurred and lose it beauty.
